Designed for beginners, the skiing program at Solang Valley builds progressively from equipment orientation and basic balance through Clock Turn, Kick Turn, Herring Bone, and Side Stepping, to full-slope skiing and jumping techniques on the steepest gradients of the week. The program closes with the Great Slalom race, where participants put their accumulated skills on proud display. Bonfire games, a picnic in the snow, and an evening in Solang Valley round out the experience.

Safety

Safety is integrated at every stage of the skiing experience. A 1:6 adult-to-participant ratio ensures personalised attention, with at least one female instructor per ten female participants. Skiing equipment is sourced from a vetted third-party provider and regularly inspected to ensure strict standards are maintained. A doctor is on call and an emergency vehicle is on standby throughout. All transport vehicles are thoroughly inspected, with drivers briefed on convoy protocols and speed limits.

Room to Roam

Participants stay in comfortable hotel rooms at Solang Valley, with boys and girls in separate rooms on a sharing basis. Rooms feature built-up toilets, hot showers, and heating to ensure warmth and comfort in the mountain environment. Participants are encouraged to keep their rooms tidy alongside hotel cleaning staff, fostering responsibility and empathy for shared spaces and roommates.

Fueled for Adventure

Healthy, nutritious meals are provided at regular intervals to keep energy levels steady across demanding slope sessions. Fresh seasonal fruits, snacks, and beverages complement main meals, with instructors ensuring every participant eats regularly and stays properly hydrated. Mindful eating is encouraged and food wastage is actively discouraged as part of daily life on the program.

Travel Details

Travel begins at Terminal 1, Delhi Airport at 6:00 PM, with a reporting time of 5:15 PM. Participants return at 6:00 AM on the day of arrival. The 14-hour journey travels by AC Volvo or Benz bus until Manali, where smaller MUVs take over for the narrow mountain roads to Solang Valley. Families should book refundable or cancellable flights and confirm recommended timings with the Inme team before booking.
