Inme Challenge
A national inter-school event, the inme Challenge is the only adventure-based contest that tests teams on multiple fronts. Outdoor activities like climbing, rafting and biking offer physical challenges. General knowledge quizzes and problem-solving games test mental and interpersonal skills. Team performances around music and theatre offer opportunities to express creativity. The inme Challenge not only furthers bonding among team members, but goes beyond by building essential life skills like mental toughness, team spirit and openness to varied experiences.
Activities and Support
Adventure activities may include Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, White Water Rafting, Kayaking, Hiking and Camping. Informal activities may include team games around problem solving, activity and environment related quizzes as well as campfire performances like Skits, Music and Theatre. All activities will be under supervision of certified and experienced outdoor experts and instructors. Teams will get to spend time with activity experts to learn and practice skills needed for adventure-based activities.
Structure and Scoring
Schools nominate 5 students (13 – 15 yrs) and a teacher to participate in the 5-day event. Teams participate in a series of tasks with opportunities to earn points or invite penalties. Most activities have objective scoring measurable in time, distance, length or other units. Subjective scoring for performances like skits, music and campfire tasks is done by neutral judges. Scoring for all activities is shared in advance. The team with the maximum cumulative points wins the inme Challenge.
